EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
I received the highest compliment from a COO of a multi million dollar self made company. He said, “You have the highest emotional intelligence of anyone I know.” Since I was working with the key players of his board, I was even more delighted.
What is Emotional Intelligence or (EI)?
It is the critical space where emotions and our cognition meets. The amount of EI that we have determines our ability to perceive, demonstrate, and control our emotions with others to be able to communicate effectively. The higher our EI, the larger our capacity will be for resiliency, stress management, empathy, and communication. It determines how well you can interpret, process, and navigate social interactions and conflicts.
It cultivated the ability to effectively express and share emotions and concepts and at the same time, to understand, respect, and respond to the emotions of others.
